Terre Lamb Seeley is a fine art painter and illustrator. She began her illustration career with a series of paintings of her 1600's Chilmark, Massachusetts house and gardens which became a calendar series titled "A Year in a Country House." Subsequently several of the paintings were published as cards by the H. George Caspari Company, including the wreath that surrounds these website pages. She is the illustrator of the children's book series "The Story of the Little Black Dog", about the original dog who became the mascot for the well-known Black Dog Tavern of Martha's Vineyard. Since moving to Falmouth Massachusetts in 1996, she has continued working in the same vein using as inspiration the other two antique houses in her life, her present home and a family-owned property in the Berkshires and the natural aspects of land, ocean and wildlife that surrounds them. She is at present developing several other projects, also based on the environment and atmosphere of New England and the effects of the change of seasons on the area.
